“Civil Coalition” MP Claudia Jachira announced a notification about the possibility of committing a crime in the prosecutor's office. “Another fascist statement about the crime of genocide in Republic TV. This will not happen again, so we cannot remain indifferent. (…) Auschwitz did not fall from the sky” – he said in a post published on the X platform (formerly Twitter).
Michal Rachon, program director of “Republic” TV Company, spoke about this. “We strongly disagree with the statement made by editor Marek Kroll on our channel. – he wrote on the X platform.
According to him, “Europe's immigration policy is dangerous for Poland and for Europe itself, but it does not justify the dehumanization of people crossing the borders of the European Union illegally.”
As Rachoń emphasized, TV Republika is “the home of freedom of speech, but also a place of respect for every person from conception to natural death, regardless of their legal status or life circumstances.”
This is another scandal surrounding Telewizja Republika in recent days. Before that, a wave of indignation was caused by the words of Jan Pietrzak, who spoke on this channel… Actions by the German government regarding the reception of illegal migrants.
– Here, I have a cruel joke with these immigrants. They hope the Poles are ready because we have barracks. We have barracks for immigrants in Auschwitz, Majdanek, Treblinka, Štutovo. Here we have many barracks built by the Germans. And this is where we will stop these immigrants that the Germans are forcing us to illegally – she said.
The prosecutor's office started investigating Pietrzak's words. The Minister of Justice Adam Bodnar requested this.
