At a press conference on Wednesday, PiS President Jaroslaw Kaczynski attacked journalists, saying they were being “paid” to defend Donald Tusk's new order. After that, the politician left the room, which was followed by protests from media representatives. – The president avoided answering our questions throughout the conference – reports Wirtualna Polska journalist Patrik Michalski in an interview with “Presserwise”.
At the end of the press conference, during which Mariusz Blaszczak, head of the PiS club, was also present, President Kaczynski addressed the journalists with the following words: “You are in a hopeless situation. What is happening in Poland is insecure. You are paid, so to speak, to protect him. I'm really sorry for you.” After that, the politician left the room, to which journalists responded. “Mr. President, we are protesting, after all, there are questions,” you can hear in a short video shared by Patrick Michalski on the X platform.

As Michalski reports in an interview with “Preserve”, what is not heard in the official recording of the conference is that practically all the journalists in the room tried to ask the president several times when he avoided answering. – However, the difficulty was that we could not ask the question in real time, because the microphone was turned off after asking the question. After another evasive answer from the president, we had to repeat the same question. The president clearly did not want to answer us, explains Patrick Michalski.
The following topics were discussed at the conference: “Fakty” TVN reporter Jakub Sobeniovski's question about the famous phone call of President Kaczynski with the former head of TVP, Mateusz Matyšković. A politician called at 3 a.m. to ask why his TV wasn't working.
Kaczynski was also asked about the case of Mariusz Kaminski and Maciej Wasik, who were legally convicted for operative activities during the land scandal.
