Until the US Congress approves President Joe Biden's request for additional funds, Washington will not be able to provide assistance to Kiev. This was announced by the coordinator of the National Security Council of the White House. At the same time, John Kirby emphasized that the US administration will do everything to ensure that the Ukrainians get the necessary weapons.
– The President signed the last package of security assistance that we had the right to complete. That's all. We need a new law to provide additional aid to Ukraine, he said at the press conference.
Kirby also noted that the latest aid package, which the US announced at the end of December, should reach Ukraine in the coming weeks.
American aid to Ukraine
On December 27, the USA announced its move to Ukraine The last aid package military in 2023. The total volume of the new support package was 250 million USD.
