Another storm broke out on the Polish political scene. This time it's a conversation The case of Kaminski and Vesik. Both sides of the dispute accuse each other of the illegality of the actions taken and make accusations of a strictly political nature.
Pełczyńska-Nałęcz: Appeal to the Extraordinary Control Chamber is illegal
Funds and Regional Policy Minister Katarzyna Pelczynska-Nalec said that since the court has legally established that the former head of CBA and his deputy are criminals, it is true.
The politician appeared in RMF FM's “Afternoon Talk”. When asked about the presidential pardon, he said that the procedural order was not followed in this case.
– This was before the court could make such a statement in a final decision and, unfortunately, the violation of this legal order is causing enormous turbulence today, and it is very sad, because it is really not good for the legal order. In Poland – he said.
– The main thing is the appeal submitted through Marshal Holounya, because the law says that it can only be done through Marshal Holounya. And this appeal is filed in the Chamber of Labor, a Chamber of the Supreme Court, and the decision of that Chamber shall be authoritative. This is an appeal (to the extraordinary control chamber – ed.), which was introduced by the gentlemen themselves, outside of any procedure, outside of any law, as a complete political manipulation, and here we are completely outside the legal space, he said.
The conflict between the coalition and the PiS opposition is becoming increasingly acute. – I am very attached to the idea of minimizing social divisions – said the politician. – But at the same time, if we have someone convicted by a final court verdict and they don't go to prison for political reasons, and someone convicted by another court verdict, just because they don't have political and party support. , imagine what security looks like in Poland – said Pelochinska-Nalec.
Convicted by final judgment
We remind you that in December, Mariusz Kaminski and Maciej Vasik were sentenced to two years in prison for their actions in the land scandal. PiS politicians do not recognize the court verdict. Both They appealed to the Supreme Court.
Marshal Holonia referred the issue of the expiration of the parliamentary mandates of Kaminski and Vesik to the Chamber of Labor and Social Insurance of the Supreme Court. The application was submitted to the Audit Chamber of the Supreme Court after Supreme Court Judge Romuald Dalewski, who was supposed to hear Vesic's appeal to the Labor Chamber about the termination of the Sejm Speaker's decision, independently decided to postpone the proceedings.
