1. Alexander Shlivka provided us with new information. “I'm optimistic”
In an interview with PlusLiga.pl, the 2021 Nations League and 2019 World Cup winner says he feels very good in Lublin. – I feel the support of the club management, which helps me a lot. It was not easy for me to adapt, because I came to Poland with my whole family, my wife, two children and a dog. For all of us it is a clash with a different culture, but we adapt well. My family and I are happy here, he emphasizes.
– I am also satisfied with my game. I know I can help the team. I am the oldest in the team and already have a lot of experience. I can play even better and so can our whole team. But I think I'm doing pretty well in PlusLiga, says LUK libero Bogdanka.
The representative of Brazil highly appreciates the sports level of Polish volleyball, as well as the organization of training and development conditions for young volleyball players. – The result of all this is a very good game and success achieved by the national team, which has a strong and wide composition, and also on the bench. That is why it is so difficult to beat Poland on the international stage.
The 34-year-old volleyball player also reveals to us what was a surprise for him after arriving in Poland. – However, I am positively surprised by the open and hospitable behavior of Poles, because I imagined them as more closed people. Every step of the way we meet very friendly people who want to help us and that's cool, says Thales Hoss.
– In Brazil we have this image of European people that they are quite cold and closed when it comes to relationships with others. However, I am delighted and happy that this is actually not the case. People in Poland are amazing. They try to help, are open to communication and understand that my family and I don't speak Polish yet. And it's nice – says one of the best libero players in the world.
The team of Thales Hos is in seventh place in PlusLiga after 14 rounds.
