Iga Swichtek won the 89th Przegląd Sportowy and Polsat Plebiscite for the best athlete of 2023. This is the second consecutive victory for the best tennis player in the world in this voting. Robert Lewandowski congratulated the 22-year-old player on his victory.
“Big congratulations on the well-deserved victory in the plebiscite. Good luck in tomorrow's final and good luck for the rest of the year,” wrote the captain of the Polish national team on the X platform (formerly Twitter). We remind you that on Sunday morning, Swichtek and the Polish national team will fight for victory at the United Cup.

We remind you that Lewandowski won the plebiscite three times. This year too, he was among the nominees, but he did not make it to the top ten. Bartosz Zmarzlik took the second place, and Alexander Slivka took the third place.
This is Switek's second triumph in the Przegląd Sportowy and Polsat plebiscite. He won earlier last year. In 2020, he finished second, while Lewandowski won.
