The Polish national team lost to Germany in the final of the United Cup. After two singles matches, it ended in a 1-1 draw and everything was decided by mixed doubles. In pairs, our western neighbors were better and won 6:4, 5:7, 10:4.
The Polish national team showed its strength at the United Cup from the beginning. The white-red team defeated Brazil and Spain in the group stage, and then faced the next opponents in the playoffs. They defeated China and France and met Germany in the final.

Iga Switchtek was the first to take to court on Sunday. The world ranking leader completed the task as planned. defeated Angelique Kerber 6-3, 6-0. Later, Hubert Hurkac played his match. Later, the Germans managed to come back and the score became equal again – 5:5. The next two games were won by the Poles, who drew the match 1-1.
In this situation, an extra set was needed – played as a super tie-break to 10. The Poles started it very badly, losing three points. They then managed to score one, but Germany responded with three more points. Finally, the scoreboard showed the result 9:4. The last word belonged to Sigemund and Zverev, who won 10:4.
