On Saturday, we revealed the top ten of the 89th Przegląd Sportowy and Polsat plebiscite for the best sportsman in Poland. Now we know how many points each candidate got in the voting. Robert Lewandowski's very poor result is noteworthy.
We remind you that the captain of the Polish national team won the plebiscite three times, and if he did not win, he was usually among the first. This time, the Barcelona forward did not even make it into the top ten. Apparently, the 35-year-old was close to receiving the statue. Nothing could be further from the truth.
1. The result of the plebiscite is Lewandowski's signal. It's time to turn the picture around
Lewandowski was only in 17th place, or fourth from the bottom. He lost almost 13,000 points to the tenth Adrian Meronka. The top scorer of last season's La Liga was overtaken by representatives of disciplines less popular than football (including snowboarding, swimming and ice hockey).
Iga Svichtek, the winner of the plebiscite, was clearly ahead of the rest of the competitors. However, the difference between second-placed Bartosz Zmarzlik and third-placed Aleksandar Slivka was very small. Here are the exact results of the plebiscite presented by Przegląd Sportowy.
