Warner Bros. Discovery Sports Europe has announced details of its live coverage of the Australian Open tennis tournament (January 14-28). The broadcaster has exclusive rights in 50 European markets. The tournament will be broadcast on Eurosport and Discovery+.
Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios joins Eurosport's commentary team alongside former stars of the sport: Boris Becker, John McEnroe, Mats Wilander, Justin Henin, Alex Correja, Barbara Skeat, Tim Henman and Laura Robson.
Live and on-demand coverage will be shown exclusively on Discovery+, the Eurosport app and the Eurosport linear channel.
Scott Young, Group Vice President of Content, Production and Business Operations at WBD Sports Europe, said: “We first staged the Australian Open under the Eurosport brand in 1995. This year's tournament promises to be one of the best ever.”
Major matches will also be broadcast free-to-air on Warner Bros. discovery (WBD). Both the men's and women's singles finals are scheduled for Sweden (via K9), Finland (via TV5) and Norway (via Max).
However, the women's singles final will be available on TVN in Poland if it features world number one Iga Swichtek.

In 2023, WBD's coverage of the Australian Open across Europe led to record growth on streaming platforms. Audiences across Europe using Discovery+ and the Eurosport app grew by almost a third. It doubled in key markets including France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain and the UK.
