Court on Monday decided not to accept the statements of Mariusz Kaminski and Maciej Vesic for refusing to initiate enforcement proceedings. At the same time, the judge decided to prepare statements to send both PiS politicians to prison, where they were to serve two years in prison.
The former heads of CBA remained December sentenced by final judgment in the activity e. land scandal, despite the fact that in 2015 President Andrzej Duda used the amnesty law against them after the indefinite sentence.
Kaminski and Vesik do not agree with either the court's verdict or the decision to terminate the parliamentary mandate and want to participate in the next session of the Seimas, which should start on Wednesday and last for three days.
On Tuesday, President Andrzej Duda invited both politicians to the presidential palace.
According to press reports, the police have already received court orders ordering the officers to be brought to Kaminski and Vesik correctional facilities.
On the case of Paproka Kaminski and Vesik: only one solution is possible
– There is only one solution to this issue. To take a step, calm emotions and recognize the pardon of 2015 – said Malgorzata Paprocka, Minister in the Chancellery of the President, on Radio Three.
According to him, “this is the only solution in this matter, because at the moment everyone has legal arguments, everyone has decisions, and it is very difficult for a citizen who wants to learn about this case to form an opinion.”
When asked whether Andrzej Duda can take a step back and sign the second amnesty, Paprocka answered: – The president speaks clearly. All state bodies are obliged to act in accordance with the law. Let's return to the protection of the Constitution in this regard and the matter will be resolved.
The head of the presidential office, Gražina Ignacak-Bandić, said last week that the first pardon remains in force, which is why the head of state does not intend to make a similar decision again in the case of Kaminski and Vesik.
