DoRzeczy.pl: How would you comment on the detention of MPs Wasik and Kaminski in the presidential palace? Is this a legal activity?
Markin Romanovsky: The concept of legality is no longer used in Poland. We are not dealing with the banana republic, Belarus, but with Stalinist methods. A situation occurred when two MPs who have immunity and are not subject to police intervention were arrested in the presidential palace. The decision of the Supreme Court, the Constitutional Tribunal and the President were ignored.
Did the police have the right to enter the presidential palace in the absence of the president?
I do not know. However, the police certainly do not have the right to arrest MPs with immunity. We are still dealing with the fundamental issue that we are dealing with convicted MPs. What the common courts are doing, and what the Labor Chamber of the Supreme Court is trying to do, to illegally take up the issue of immunity, are illegal actions. We have the Supreme Court's ruling on the expiration of the mandates of the deputies, which overturns the Marshall decision to eliminate the mandates, which means that the mandates have not been abolished. We are also dealing with MPs who have immunity and the police cannot arrest them. The end of the story. What is happening is lawlessness and banditry. Those responsible for this will be held criminally responsible.
Who exactly?
Here we are talking about the management, i.e. Marshall Holonia and Prime Minister Tusk. We are talking about the relevant ministers, the judge who issued a decision to arrest him against the law and, unfortunately, the police as well, who carry out similar illegal actions.
