The revolution in public media began on December 20. Minister Bartlomiej Sienkiewicz dismissed the presidents of Polish Television, Polish Radio and the Polish Press Agency. The new management boards of the companies were elected by the new supervisory boards appointed by the minister. Less than an hour after the announcement of the Ministry of Culture, TVP Info and TVP3 stopped broadcasting (instead, TVP1 and TVP2 started broadcasting). A few minutes later, the station's website also disappeared. On December 27, the Minister of Culture and National Heritage decided to stage them in liquidation.
Today we already know that most of the journalists of Telewizja Polska will no longer appear on TVP. The media, on the other hand, spreads more Bringing famous names back to public media, who bid them farewell in the time of law and justice. After the public media was taken over by the new government, the following people disappeared from the TVP antennas: Anna Popek, Krzysztof Ziemietz and Monika Borkowska.
Krzysztof Ziemiec and Anna Popek did not return to TVP. “nobody talked to me”
In an interview with the Wirtualne Media portal, Krzysztof Ziemiek said that he had not received any information from the new management of the television company regarding his future at TVP and did not know whether he would continue to work at Teleexpress.
– No one has contacted me – the journalist told the portal. – I have a valid contract – added Krzysztof Ziemiech.
On the other hand, Anna Popek applied to the press office of Wirtualne Media public television. – It is a valid rule that the spokesperson of TVP should talk about corporate issues, – he said. – I have been working full-time for TVP for 25 years – the journalist added.
On the other hand, the spokesperson of TVP is still silent on this matter.
Borkowska: I am in a strange state of suspension
Monika Borkowska, who was well known to former viewers of TVP Info, is in a similar situation. He hosted programs such as “8 Gone”, “9 Gone”, “How They Lie” and “For or Against”.
“Thank you very much for remembering. I am still an employee of TVP. I am in a strange position, but still,” he wrote on X/Twitter on Tuesday in response to the encouragement of Internet users to also join the Telewizja Republika team.

He responded to the mockery in one of his comments and explained that he was not officially fired from TVP.
Before that, Monika Borkowska wrote on the Internet that she could not come to the editorial office to return the personal belongings left there.
“Yesterday I hosted 'Miła 20' for our viewers. Today my pass doesn't work at TVP, even though I have a contract, they don't have it, but they are inside. My personal things are also inside, including money,” he wrote.
