As the Wirtualne Media portal has unofficially learned, Magdalena Piekorc is the new head of the Polish Television Films and Series Creation Agency. The director's achievements include television theater productions, but also the feature film “Welts”, which was a Polish candidate for the Oscar.

Piekorc replaces Joanna Snochowska-Majer, who headed the agency for the creation of films and series under the president Mateusz Matiszkowicz.
Magdalena Piekorc graduated from the Faculty of Radio and Television of the University of Silesia in directing. Responsible, among others: for several television theater productions in the 1990s and early 2000s. His most famous feature film is “Welts” in 2004, based on the prose of Wojciech Kuchok. This film won the Golden Lions main prize at the 29th Polish Film Festival in Gdynia and was also Poland's candidate for the Oscars in 2005.
From September 2018 to 2021, Piekorc was the artistic director of the theater. Adam Mickiewicz in Czestochowa.
Changes in Polish television. Public media is in liquidation
The revolution in public media began on December 20. Minister Bartlomiej Sienkiewicz dismissed the presidents of Polish Television, Polish Radio and the Polish Press Agency. The new management boards of the companies were elected by the new supervisory boards appointed by the minister. Less than an hour after the announcement of the Ministry of Culture, TVP Info and TVP3 stopped broadcasting (instead, TVP1 and TVP2 started broadcasting). A few minutes later, the station's website also disappeared. On December 27, the Minister of Culture and National Heritage decided to stage them in liquidation.
