English football player Eric Dier is moving from Tottenham to Bayern Munich. The nearly 30-year-old defender, who can also play as a defensive midfielder, is on loan until the end of the season but with the option of a permanent move.
“This move is a dream come true for me because as a child you want to play for a club like Bayern one day,” Dier admitted in a statement released by the German champions.

“Bayern is one of the biggest clubs in the world and has an incredible history. I want to help the team with my defensive versatility,” he added.
Dier's contract with Tottenham was valid only until the end of the current season. After this date, Bayern, who – according to media reports – paid 3.5 to 4 million euros for a six-month loan – may acquire the player permanently.
The experienced defender played 49 matches in the England national team and scored three goals. He spent most of his career in Tottenham, playing in this team since 2014.
Bayern already have another England representative, striker Harry Kane, who has also been doing very well this season, also a former Tottenham player.
The German champions are currently second in the Bundesliga standings, four points behind leaders Bayer Leverkusen and have a game in hand.
