DoRzeczy.pl: Did the radicalism of Donald Tusk's team increase in yesterday's march?
Lukash Schreiber: Of course. Please note a few things. No one was beating the drum when it came to expectations. This is the protest just a month after taking office. There's always a honeymoon, a boost in support, and there's nothing here. It has no natural chemistry. This is stopped by the coalition's actions on December 13. These are unacceptable methods that have mobilized many people. Until now, when we organized trips from our voivodeship, there were always a maximum of six buses, and today there were forty only from Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, and it is not a large voivodeship and quite far from Warsaw. The mobilization was huge in terms of the people involved. This makes me very happy. Also, it was the middle of a week, a freezing day in January, because this week we had records for the lowest temperature of the year, and there were still hundreds of thousands of people there. This is a big deal.
Did the case of Kaminski and Vesik affect the Poles?
Out of curiosity I wanted to recall the first KOD march. The City Hall and TVN themselves estimated less than 50,000 people, here the same people say 35,000. Our demonstration was probably 6-7 times larger than that. This shows the extent of the mobilization. Poles do not agree with what is happening. It is not only about taking over institutions or the media, but also about the methods used, the gangster dimension, entering at night. On the other hand, this image has led to criminals leaving prison to become members of the European Parliament, and politicians who fought corruption going to prison. It's amazing.
The big loser of the last days is Szymon Holowny, who promised a smiling Poland, but is he the executor of Tusk's will, carrying out dirty politics with his own hands? In addition, there was a symbol of barriers returned to the Seimas.
It was a useless gesture from the beginning. These barriers were not there to allow people to enter the Sejm, as you always had to have a pass for that. Barriers were associated with cyclical demonstrations. Despite the barriers, Holonia withdrew before the session of the Seimas. If he was ashamed, it would be good news, but whether it is cowardice or procrastination, it is difficult for me to say. Why is he a big loser? He is the second person in the country, he had the right to say “no” to Tusk: I don't agree with that, we won't do it. He himself says that he has presidential ambitions. Why should “Tusk's third leg” be the president? There should have been a “third way”… PSL politicians are still silent, it is better if they join this team. It looks bitter.
