Friday evening Donald Tusk gave an interview to TVP, TVN and Polsat. – The new Poland, the revived Polish state in the field of law and justice, should be a state where people fulfill their duties imposed by law, and not this or that politician, – Prime Minister Donald Tusk said.
Mateusz Morawiecki was asked about this statement. In an interview with Kamila Baranowska, the former Prime Minister emphasizes that Poland is now becoming a country where media pluralism is limited. – This is what the Internet users laughed at yesterday, when they showed the TV program schedule, – he said.
He adds that Tusk talks about the need to obey the law, and the law is “evidently being broken.” – Donald Tusk does not want to respect either the law or the constitution – but he has a lot of respect for Adam Bodnar's “legal instinct”. This is a clear proof that Poland is no longer a state of law, but a state subject to the instincts of the ministers of the new government – he emphasized in an interview with Interia.
Morawiecki: He pulls your hair
The former prime minister adds that the PO is not cleansing the state of miscreants but is carrying out “political cleansing”. – It makes my hair stand out when political thugs expel people from different institutions from PO without considering their competence and experience. There should have been competitions, there should have been clear selection criteria, there is only revenge. And the intention is nothing more than the sale of national assets – which Tusk has de facto admitted. Now we also know why he was afraid of a referendum that would cut him off from that opportunity, Mateusz Morawiecki said.
The politician claims that we are witnessing Tusk's “absolute rejection of democracy”. As he added, the current prime minister is using a “policy of nullification” – he wants to nullify the Constitutional Tribunal, the independence of the Polish National Bank, or illegally dismiss prosecutors.
