Lissitzky: Strength will decide
Adam Bodnar's attempt to take over the National Prosecutor's Office has sparked an avalanche of comments. The editor-in-chief of “Do Rzech” noted that the actions of the new government, which began with an attempt to take over the public media, show the characteristics of a state of emergency. Pavel Lisitsky emphasized that in such a situation, the government imposes its decisions by force, without considering the law. The consequences of such action can be tragic for the state.
– We are dealing with what can be called an undeclared or unofficially introduced state of emergency. When the decisions made by the authorities (…) are made on the basis of force (…) if the thesis put forward by Mr. Bodnar was true, that is, that Mr. Barski was wrongly appointed to the national office. The prosecutor, Mr. Bodnar, did not demand Mr. Barski's resignation, – said the editor-in-chief of TV Republic TV “Do Rzeci”.
– Those in power behave as if they think they have complete impunity (…) Similarly, Mr. Bodnar and Prime Minister Tusk can declare, for example, the illegal election of President Andrzej Duda. You can play these kinds of games, but at the end of this story we are dealing with a clear violation of the law (…) Adam Bodnar does not behave as a lawyer, but as someone who runs a power group – Pavel said. Lissitzky.
