Volleyball league leaders Jastrzebski Vegyel will face sixth-placed Trefl Gdansk, while TAURON will face Asseco Resovia Rzeszów Bogdanka LUK Lublin in the most exciting Polish Cup quarter-final. The final tournament will be held in Krakow on March 2-3.
The six leading teams of the Volleyball League after the 15th round of the competition, as well as the two best teams from the lower leagues, will participate in the quarterfinals. Jastrzębski Wegiel, Projekt Warszawa, Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie, Asseco Resovia Rzeszów, Bogdanka LUK Lublin and Trefl Gdańsk were promoted from PlusLiga and the top four teams were seeded. In addition, CUK Anioły Toruń and CM Soleus Klub Sportowy Rudziniec from the second league were promoted from the qualifying rounds.

A big surprise is the absence of the Polish vice-champion and cup defender – Grupa Azoty Zaksa Kędzierzyn-Koźle in this round. Coach Tuomas Samelvuo's men have struggled with injuries and poor form this season, which has left Kedzierzyn's side in their worst position in the league table for years – halfway through the competition they were in ninth place.
In Sunday's draw, Ekstraklasa table-toppers Jastrzębski Wegiel went to sixth-placed Trefl Gdańsk. The winner of this match will face the better team in the second most interesting pairing in the semi-finals: Asseco Resovia Rzeszów and Bogdanka LUK Lublin, neighbors in the PlusLiga rankings.
The opponents in the second league were Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie, runners-up in the top league, who will face CM Soleus Klub Sportowy Rudziniec, while Projekt Warszawa, in the third table, will play against CUK Angels Toruń, of which it is the main shareholder. The quarter-final matches are expected to be played on February 13 and 14. The final tournament will be held at the TAURON Arena in Krakow at the beginning of March – the semi-finals will be held on March 2 and the final will be held a day later.
