It quickly became clear that the issue had a deeper meaning. “I read the accusations against Marcin Katski and I have the impression that they are talking about a person I do not know at all. Because for me, Katski was always a person I trusted, who supported me in the most difficult moments. Who stood by me when others turned their backs. Marcin supported me when depression recurred due to the Russian attack on Ukraine and the environment's reaction to my texts,” writes Victoria Bieliazin, a journalist at “GW”. Social media. “I also know Karolina Rogaska. He is a brave, empathetic, sensitive journalist. And I can't even describe how sorry and how angry I am that something like this happened to him. Because this behavior cannot be defended,” he added. Rogaska released a lengthy memo in which he accuses Katzki, among others, of masturbating in front of him despite his “obvious terror.”

More than a week after the scandal, Marcin Ketski published an extensive position. He emphasizes that this is not to repair his image, but to clarify the lies spread in the media.
“I want to leave this issue with full responsibility to the committee, which in “Wyborcza” should clarify my attitude towards my colleagues. I expect a reliable control procedure and the participation of all those who object to my attitude,” he said. emphasizes.
“My relationship with Karolina Rogaska is not related, as you might expect from her message, to the incident when Zvirol insulted a woman. It is the story of two meetings. It was a social meeting and our acquaintance ended soon, not because I had a feeling of unworthiness of someone's behavior, but I did not want to mix professional and personal relationships,” Katski says. .
He also writes that “much of the content about me that has been published in the last week suggests that there are other situations than the case of Karolina Rogaska. There are not and never have been. Such information only fuels the spiral of hate.”
The journalist also comments on the issue of cooperation with the Polish school of reporting: “I never officially received information that I was dismissed or expelled from the school of reporting. However, I have long expressed reservations about how this school works. The Times and its staff know the allegations I have made, the ethics I have maintained, and the inquiries they have received about me from students at the school over the years. I would like it checked again if there is any doubt in this regard.
The claim that my text was intended to address the charges against me is also untrue, and that I – knowing about them – was going to manipulate my “Gazette” and abuse its pages to whitewash myself in your eyes. I spent months preparing my report, it was the result of therapy, a good relationship and a desire not only to deal with the past, but to try to express my personal feelings about the matter, which most people don't try. I have no regrets, even if it has the most serious effect on me. I can't write a text otherwise, it's not my journalism for the public,” Markin Katski concluded.

My colleagues in the editorial office knew that I was preparing such material, and if they raised any doubts, it was about taking the topic in the context of strong emotions associated with the struggle for women's rights. Before Karolina's comment came out, it was highly regarded by people who later completely changed the narrative, and I don't blame anyone for that, but that's why I'm waiting for all doubts to be investigated and definitively clarified.
My text is my life, I wrote it as I know how to write. I believed that I had redeemed myself, because in the end I really loved, because I loved. My text was the result of the long road that I went through. But the feedback after publication made me realize that the road is not over yet and how much work is ahead of me. Friends – thanks for being here. Those who want to die, drowned in the Vistula River – I have nothing wise for you. I have my own life, I see, you have your own reasons for writing this way. Let everyone write their own text about themselves, let them deal with their demons in their own way.
