The actions of the Minister of Justice concern the President of the Court of Appeal in Poznań, Judge Mateusz Bartoszek, and the Vice-Presidents of the Court of Poznań, Judges Przemysław Radzik and Silvia Dembska.
Three judges were suspended. The head of the Ministry of Justice also submitted a reasoned request to the panel of the Poznań Court of Appeal to give an opinion on their appeal.
Bodnar blames the judges
As mentioned in the statement released by the Ministry of Justice, there were serious accusations against the three judges. In relation to Judge Bartoszek, Adam Bodnar justified his request by “numerous errors and improper actions that he committed while performing the function of the President, which, among other things, led to the deterioration of his leadership and the statistical results of the court.” The disorganization of his work due to imprecise and unsubstantiated personnel decisions, which together represent a picture of gross and constant failure to fulfill his duty.
The Minister has remarks against Judge Dembska regarding the numerous shortcomings in his management of the Departments of Civil and Intellectual Property, Labor and Social Protection. On the other hand, against Przemysław Radzik, it was found that “the performance of his function as the Vice-President of the Court of Appeal in Poznań cannot be compatible with the goodness of the justice system.”
