The beginning of the first set promised a very even match. Both teams attacked with high efficiency and neither team was able to distance the opponent for a long time. The breakthrough moment of the game was Mackenzie May's service ace. Grota Budolani Łódź with a score of 12:13, the American won a point with a service and gave Poland a signal to attack.

The hosts, led by Harbin, who scored excellent points, quickly jumped into the lead by a few points, while mistakes by the Łódź side saw Potsdam lead by 10 points. In the end, the German national team won the set to 16 after a service error of our team.
The third set brought the most emotions to the fans. Both teams could not get the advantage for a long time. In the end, thanks to excellent defense, Lodz players had two set points. They didn't take advantage and thanks to a crazy block from Anastasia Tsekulaeva, the opponents got a draw after 24. They like to take revenge for missed opportunities. And took revenge on Grota volleyball players who lost the “winning” set to 24.
This development of events destroyed the Lodz volleyball players, who started the fourth set badly. The hosts played confidently in defense and strengthened by further effective attacks by Rodiky Buteres and Harbin quickly took the lead 9:4. Lodz volleyball players tried to make up for the loss, but they could not match their game from the first set. In the end, the Germans defeated Grote's team 25:18 and finished second in the group.
