Athletes finished the competition 4:6, 7:5, 4:10. The final of the United Cup tournament was not easy. Especially since the athletes already had morning matches. Fatigue was visible, but the players did not give up until the end.

Poles were lucky many times and it was noticeable. Sharp exchanges often ended successfully for our team, but in the end the match turned out to be a winner for the Germans.

United Cup Final. Świątek and Hurkacz on the shield

The results showed that the fight was even results in sets. After the first two, nothing was known yet. The first set ended with the victory of the Germans 6:4, and the Poles won the second set. Shvitek and Hurkach finished with a score of 7:5. In the end The entire encounter ended in a result 4:6, 7:5, 4:10.

The match was difficult, especially for three players. All of them, except the German, had an individual battle on the court. They turned out to be winners in the case of Iga Svichtek, who won the match against Angelique Kerber 6:3, 6:0, and lost in the case of Huber Hurkac. Unfortunately, the Pole did not cope with the battle on the court with his opponent Alexander Zverev, with whom he also clashed. Mix it up.

Świątek in great style, Hurkacz missed the chance

This weekend definitely belonged to Iga. First, on Saturday evening, the Polish Rocket Won the Przegląd Sportowy Sportsman of the Year plebiscite, and in the morning she defeated her German rival Angelica Kerber 6:3, 6:0. The Polish tennis player quickly showed that he can quickly establish his own pace. Even if the opponent was gaining an advantage in the beginning.

As we say in naTemat, Angelica Kerber really tried to disrupt the Polish woman's plans. Schwietek still had a way, and he showed a real test of his abilities in the second set.

The second game lasted only… 22 minutes. It took that long for Iga to complete the formalities on the court. He dropped only seven points and eventually won the entire match 6-3, 6-0.

Hubert Hurkac, on the other hand, can confidently speak of a great missed opportunity. The Pole lost 7:6, 6:7, 4:6. As we say in naTematHurkac – thanks to Iga's victory – felt more at ease, at least in theory. Unfortunately, either there was too much composure or something else went wrong, but at least he didn't win in the end.

After the first obstacle, Zverev couldn't stand it any longer and obviously his nerves gave way. The German tennis player even argued with the coach, and his displeasure was visible on his face during the breaks. However, in the end, victory was his.
