On Tuesday evening, the police entered the presidential palace. Former head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration and former head of CBA Mariusz Kaminski and his former deputy Maciej Wąsik They were arrested.
At that time, President Andrzej Duda was in the Belvedere Palace, where he met with representatives of the Belarusian society and the leader of the Belarusian opposition Sviatlana Tsykhanuskaia.
“The President addresses the heads of state”
The guests of President Andrzej Duda, Mariusz Kaminski and Maciej Vesik, were arrested at the head of state's headquarters. Despite my premonitions that I was there, no letter was shown to me. The document appeared after the deputies left. The dignity of the state has been violated. This police raid is something that should not have happened. And it shows what standards are starting in Poland. We are outraged by this. This is unacceptable, the head of the presidential office said on TV Trwam.
– We are dealing with the arrest of active politicians and people affected by political retribution – he added.
– President Andrzej Duda acted, acts and will act in accordance with the law. We are dealing with questioning the political principles of the Republic of Poland, said Grazyna Ignacak-Bandich.
– President Andrzej Duda said that he will write to the heads of states and international institutions that we are dealing with a violation of the law and the constitution, – said the Minister of the President.
The case of Kaminski and Vesik

Kaminski and Vesik do not recognize either the court verdict or the decision to terminate the parliamentary mandate.
