On page 32 of our special Cyber Security section, we list the areas of life that are vulnerable to digital threats and point out relatively simple methods that can help us feel more secure.
Because we didn't want to give the impression that all of us – participants in the digital reality – are facing helplessness and disaster. On the contrary. In these areas, the fight against pathologies is being won every day.
Of course – today they steal wealth, gain influence and gain political advantage online. Influence groups, manipulators, but also ordinary thieves take advantage of our weaknesses and very often manage to get their way. But they will not win this war if they find among us tough opponents: those who will think twice about e-mail. Before opening mail, consider all the information you share, hold back emotions when someone promises property, and follow procedures and computer hygiene. .
The texts feature prominent experts from a variety of fields, from network security specialists to lawyers, journalists, and even police officers. It is important that they do this not only from the perspective of their professional activities, but also from the prism of their personal experience: being parents or caregivers of older people.
