ChatGPT chatbot has more competitors. Bard was first released by Google and was developed by xAI Elon Musk Grok, and now Ernie—a product of Chinese tech giant Baidu—are gaining ground.

100 million subscribers Ernie

At the end of the week, Baidu announced that its artificial intelligence model Ernie had surpassed 100 million users. The Chinese launched their chatbot in March and received regulatory approval for mass implementation at the end of August.

It will answer, but not all questions

Chatbot Ernie is not officially available in China, but it can be used in Chinese. An English version is also available. In November, Baidu began charging fees (about $8 per month) for the most advanced version of the Ernie bot. ChatGPT, on the other hand, charges $20 per month to use the latest model.
