The winners of the previous edition were Norwegian Johannes Klaebo and Swedish Frida Carlson. In 2010-13, Justyna Kowalczyk won the series four times.
Many top players did not participate in the latest edition of TdS due to flu and Covid-19 infection, including: Klaabo, three-time winner of the event, five-time Olympic champion, nine-time world champion and world leader.
