On behalf of many citizens who admire and appreciate the invaluable contribution of the late priest Tadeusz Isakovic-Zaleski to the history of our country, we appeal to him to award the Order of the White Eagle.

Father Isakovic-Zaleski was a steadfast priest, social activist and defender of historical truth and the good name of the Church. He was not afraid to speak the name of our compatriots living in the borders. His life's work and fearless attitude in the fight for justice deserve special recognition. We therefore refer to this distinguished Pole to posthumously award the Order of the White Eagle.

His life's mission, dedication to the common good, and constant pursuit of justice have made Father Isakovic-Zaleski one of the most important figures of our time. His actions made him a moral authority for many people.

By awarding Father Isakovic-Zaleski the Order of the White Eagle, we see not only the recognition of his personal sacrifice, but also an expression of respect for the values that he represented and that are the foundation of our society. He was a prominent figure in many spheres of social life. Priest, poet, writer, historian. A repressed activist during the Polish People's Republic, he became a borderland pastor and a fighter in the fight for decent burials for Poles killed in Volhynia.

In 2008, he addressed the Polish authorities, condemning the genocide of Poles committed by the OUN-UPA in Volhynia and Eastern Lesser Poland. He was also the president of the Kresova Foundation “Memoria et Veritas” founded by him and the organizer of the annual school competitions of knowledge about the border countries and the chairman of the honorary committee for the construction of the “Volhynian Massacre” monument, sculpted. Prof. Andrzej Pytynski, in the village of Domostava, Jarocin commune, Podkarpackie. He also supported the campaign of the Association “Society and Memory” with the slogan “Volhynia to Powązki”. He fought to name the genocide without euphemisms and half-truths. He noticed that the subject of the Volhynia genocide was ignored and no real action was taken. He objected to the glorification of criminals.

It is impossible to describe all his merits and achievements in a short text.

We fully believe that this symbolic gesture is a well-deserved form of honoring this unique figure who will forever leave a mark in Polish history. At the same time, we hope that awarding this highest state award to Father Isakovic-Zaleski will inspire current and future generations to engage in social issues and care for the common good. In our time, there are few people who deserve this order. F. Undoubtedly, Tadeusz should have received the honor.

Sincerely, concerned Poles

SZ.P. Andrzej Duda, President of the Republic of Poland
