Tenzer warned EU leaders of war fatigue and called for more military aid for Ukraine. The political scientist emphasized that the outcome of this war will determine the future of the world for decades.
– It is a fact that the outcome of the war in Ukraine may be similar to the situation in 1945. Either we win or we lose. And when I say “we”, I don't just mean Ukraine, it's something that also directly affects us. The outcome of the war will determine the fate of the coming decades, so there can be no half measures here. Ukraine cannot be “half-defeated” and “half-victory” for Russia. Russia should be completely defeated, like Germany and Japan in 1945, he said.
The situation at the front
Russian forces have carried out 626 attacks in Ukraine using munitions loaded with poisonous chemicals. 51 of them occurred in January 2024.
According to experts, the war launched by Russia against Ukraine is taking the form of a fourth generation war. Such a war is characterized by the use of unmanned systems, reconnaissance and high-precision weapons on the battlefield. By combining these tools into one coordinated system, military commanders can think ahead on the front lines.
– There is no weapon that can establish peace on the territory of Ukraine. However, the comprehensive use of different types of weapons, equipment and equipment can actually accomplish this mission. To strike, we need attack, fighter and bomber aircraft to block the enemy's logistics routes, hubs and centers. We need missile weapons to accomplish the same mission. We need artillery and ammunition to destroy all enemy forces and resources in the close combat zone. We also need drones and very powerful and serious electronic warfare systems to destroy enemy drones, said military expert, reserve colonel and former Marshal of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Vladislav Seleznyov.
