The first set belonged to Perugia, who, despite the absence of several players, including Poland's Wilfredo Leon (who changed into a match shirt but was known not to be on the court), quickly jumped out of the No. 2 seed. -2 points for several points, and then consistently increased the advantage, which at one point was up to 6 points (13:7). And it seemed that the Umbrian capital would easily win this game, coach Angelo Lorenzetti's players caught their breath and allowed their opponents to get closer to the score (21:20, then 23:22). However, the end still belonged to Perugia: first, Tommaso Rinaldi, who served in the aerial, helped the Perugia team, and shortly after, Kamil Semenyuk became the hero of the last act, blocking Maxim Sapozhkov's attack and giving his team the lead. 25:22 victory. Interestingly, this was Sir Susa Wim's only block in this part of the match (and Poland's fifth point in the first set).

The students of Angelo Lorenzetti controlled the second part of the match, but they were able to separate by more than two points only when they were leading 12:9. A lot of credit goes to Kamil Semenyuk, who scored twice in a row from difficult positions when the score was 10:9. The hosts caught the wind and extended their lead against Modena to 8 points shortly after, jumping to 18:10 after Semenyuk's first service century in Thursday's match. Sir Susa Wim's volleyball players could not lose such an advance. The national team of Central Italy defeated the opponent and won the second set 25:16. This time the game ended with a devastating serve from Bruno Resende, who hit the net. Service and attack were certainly not Modena's strengths that day, as Perugia scored 10 (!) points after mistakes from the visitors in the first and second half of the match.

The third set was just a formality. The hosts quickly gained a four-point advantage (8:4), which allowed them to calmly control the course of events on the court. Modena managed to reduce the distance to 2 points (10:8), but this only irritated Perugia, who… jumped to 5 (14:9), and later even to 7 (19:12) points. In the end, the semi-finalists of the previous Coppa Italia won 25:18, and the whole match was 3:0.

In the battle for the grand final, Perugia will face Allianz Milano, who defeated last year's winners Piacenza after a tie-break.
