What should have been an innocent joke will end up in court! Tiktoker Mirco Casorelli, known online as Bireweichesouhund, has been sued by the Swiss Football Association (SFV).

Casorelli, who has almost 72,000 followers on TikTok and his videos already have more than a million and a half likes, attacked with an SFV series called “Singkontrolle” (“Singing Control”). In it, he observed which Swiss national team players sang the national anthem before matches and commented – usually in a not-so-subtle way – on their behavior during the playing of the “Swiss Psalm”.

1. Champions League winner complains about sexism. “What's a guy thinking when he sends a photo like that?”

The Swiss Football Association found that Tiktoker repeatedly committed crimes under Article 261bis of the Criminal Code when recording these videos, that is, insulting players and staff on racial and national grounds. By the way, Casorelli called the Turkish-rooted coach Murat Yakin a “kebab seller”, the black defender Jordan Lotomba was a “disgusting figure” for him and called the Balkan players (Granit Xhaka and Xherdan Shaqiri). “Yougol Boy Band”.

– Everyone has the right to subjective assessment, whether not singing the national anthem is good or bad, but humor and parody ends where the dignity of another person is violated. In this case, the author publicly insults and humiliates our players and coaches from immigrant families. These are clear manifestations of racism that we, the people associated with the SFV, will not tolerate under any circumstances, Adrian Arnold, director of communications for the Swiss Football Association, told the Blick newspaper.

Journalists emphasize that the request to intervene in this issue was brought by the players themselves, who felt insulted by Mirko Casorelli's comments. Tiktoker himself does not feel guilty and… laughs at the accusations brought against him by the association.

– This whole situation is funny! I myself come from an immigrant family, my father is Italian and I have a black wife. I'm not racist and the videos were purely humorous. I don't get offended when someone calls me a “paste maker”, of course, as long as these words are not followed by aggressive behavior – Casorelli replied to “Blik”.

TikToker, who has already received a summons to testify in the police, has not yet hired a lawyer. As he admitted, he hopes that the case will not end up in court and is ready to explain the motives of his action in a direct conversation with the team members at the next training camp of the Swiss national team.
