During the holidays, a draft of the ZUS contribution (JDG) paid by individual entrepreneurs, which provides for the suspension of one contribution per year, should be submitted to the Seimas at the end of March, Prime Minister Donald Tusk said. He stated that leave from ZUS contributions will not affect the amount of pension
– The idea is that micro-entrepreneurs and the self-employed, as well as other workers – we are talking about working people – can also have the right to leave, during which they will not be financially burdened by social security contributions. (…) This will lead to rapid consultations so that the draft act and related acts can be submitted to the Seimas at the end of March. According to this act, each micro-entrepreneur, self-employed and self-employed can choose one month a year free from ZUS contributions – said Donald Tusk at the press conference held after the government meeting.
“Nobody Loses”
– This means that (entrepreneurs) will be able to spend one month a year from the contribution of the social insurance institution and also the state will pay this month's contribution to maintain the continuity of the contribution. The Prime Minister stressed that no one will lose the amount of their pension during this vacation (from ZU's contributions) in the future.
Before that, it was mentioned in the list of legislative and program works of the Council of Ministers, which the Council of Ministers plans to adopt in the first quarter of this year. Draft Act on Amendments to the Law “On Social Security System” and other other acts that will introduce the institution of individual entrepreneurship leave. As reported at the time, the proposed vacations should last up to 3 months during the calendar year.
– I hope that there will be no other obstacles, the president's veto, and we will be able to introduce holidays for Polish entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs this year, – concluded Tusk at the conference.
