Zielinski's future is still unclear.
There is still speculation about the future of Piotr Zielinski. Many journalists and fans associate the Pole with Inter Milan. President of the board of directors of “Inter” Giuseppe Marotta spoke about the mentioned issue.
On Friday, La Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Zielinski had never been so close to leaving Napoli. According to the Italian newspaper, Inter Milan is in a popular position among interested clubs and has already made an offer to the Pole. 13.5 million euros, bonuses, a three-year contract with the possibility of an extension – this is what the Serie A leader should tempt Zielinski.
Much of the Pole's transfer is explained by Fabrizio Romano's entry added to the “X” platform. The Italian journalist included the words of Inter's president regarding Zielinski, who can talk to other clubs from January as his contract with Napoli expires in the summer of 2024.
The transfer window is always active, we are keeping a close eye on opportunities.
Now we are contacting players whose contracts expire in June and we want to be active.
“Nothing has been done yet,” said Giuseppe Marotta.
The third sentence is particularly suggestive in the context of Zielinski's move to Inter. We can conclude that there have been no negotiations with the Pole and his transfer to Inter is not yet certain.
Zielinski has played in eighteen of twenty Serie A games this season, scoring two goals, assisting twice and picking up a yellow card once. In six matches in the Champions League, he recorded one goal, one assist and one booking.
