We remind you that on Friday the Chamber of Extraordinary Control and Public Affairs of the Supreme Court annulled the decision of the Speaker of the Seimas regarding the expiration of the mandate of MP Mariusz Kaminski. Before that, a similar decision was made in the case of deputy Maciej Vasik. However, the ruling coalition and a section of the legal community argue that the Supreme Court's Extraordinary Control and Public Affairs Chamber is not a de facto court due to its “improper appointment”.
The Labor and Social Insurance Chamber of the Supreme Court considered only the case of Mariusz Kaminski. The documents about Maciej Wąsik are still in the review chamber of the Supreme Court.
Kaminski and Vesik were arrested
In December, the former heads of CBA, Mariusz Kaminski and Maciej Vasik, were sentenced to two years in prison by the final verdict of the court.
