During a meeting with members of the National Media Council on Tuesday, the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda criticized the activities of Televisa Polska during the presidency of Jacek Kurski.
– The president said that he was not satisfied with public television during the time of Jacek Kurski. He also said that he could not say that what happened in the news was good – reports RMN member Marek Rutka.
Robert Kwiatkowski of RMN says Andrzej Duda has been critical of recent changes in public media. – He spoke about the violation of the law and the violation of the Constitution of the Republic of Poland. However, he does not question the right of the government coalition to reform them. He only insisted that the changes would be made in accordance with the law, that is, according to the laws that should reach his desk. According to him, he is waiting for the bill announced by Prime Minister Donald Tusk, reports Kwiatkovski.
Marek Rutka: – The President said that the National Media Council acts on the basis of the relevant act of the law, but he has reservations regarding the appointment of company management boards by the National Media Council.
Robert Kwiatkowski focuses on the behavior of the majority representatives of the National Media Council, i.e. law and justice politicians. – Ms. Lichoka was aggressive and I would say she was aggressive towards President Duda, which angered not only me, but also Malgorzata Paprocka from the President's office, – he says.
