The match started well for the Polish runners-up as Kinga Achruk and Magda Wieckowska scored the first two goals. The score was 2:2 in the 6th minute, and the home team responded by scoring the next three goals from Lublin before the end of the quarter. From 5:5, Achruk and Daria Shinkaruk put the visiting team ahead by two goals again (7:5), but from that moment on, the Romanian national team took the initiative and won 9:7 in the 19th minute.
Until the end of the first half, Edyta Majinska's players tried to keep their distance, but their five two-minute penalties (with only two players) clearly made it difficult. The Lublin team ended this part of the match with a series of shots that failed to find the net.
Gloria opened the second half with two goals, giving a five-goal advantage, and was able to control the situation on the field. As a result, they did not allow a difference of more than two goals.
Despite an ambitious fight, the Lublin side could not get a favorable result as one of the weak points on the day was the effectiveness of long-range shots, which also included four missed penalties.
Next week, on Saturday, MKS FunFloor will host French Neptune Nantes in the 2nd round of Europa League Group C.
