Polish biathletes Natalia Sidorowicz, Anna Meka, Daria Gembicka and Joanna Jakila took 11th place in the 4×6 km relay at the World Cup competition held in Rupolding, Germany. The French won, ahead of the Swedish and German women.
The red-and-white team clocked 1:12.35.1, ahead of eight other relay teams. Their result was adversely affected by a standing tackle on Gambica, which led to a penalty shoot-out. 14 relay teams crossed the finish line, and five played.

“Tricolor” relay team consisting of Lou Jeanmono, Jean Richard, Sophie Chauveau and Julia Simon won with the result of 1:08.44.5. Sweden's Anna Magnusson, Lynn Persson, Mona Brosson and Elvira Oberg were 8.7 seconds behind them, while Germany's Janina Hettich-Waltz, Sophia Schneider, Franziska Preuss and Hanna Kebinger were 46.7 seconds behind. Swiss women were just behind the podium.
On Thursday, men will compete in the 4×7.5 km relay. Konrad Badac, Jan Gunka, Markin Zavolo and Katsper Gunka will be part of the Polish national team. The biathlon competition in Rupolding will continue until Sunday.
