On Thursday, the Extraordinary Control and Public Affairs Chamber of the Supreme Court annulled the decision of the Speaker of the Seimas Szymon Hołownia regarding the expiration of the mandate of MP Maciej Wąsik.
In December, Mariusz Kaminski and Makie Vesik were sentenced to two years in prison for the so-called Land scandal. PiS politicians do not recognize the court verdict. Both appealed to the Supreme Court.
Holonia referred the issue of the expiration of the parliamentary mandates of Kaminski and Vesik to the Chamber of Labor and Social Insurance of the Supreme Court. The application was submitted to the Audit Chamber of the Supreme Court after Supreme Court Judge Romuald Dalewski, who was supposed to hear Vesic's appeal to the Labor Chamber about the termination of the Sejm Speaker's decision, independently decided to postpone the proceedings.
Andrzej Duda and the President's Chancellery believe that the President has already pardoned Kaminski and Vesik, therefore, if the politicians of law and justice are arrested, they should be treated as political prisoners.

As soon as I receive the full set of verdicts, I will receive the results. 6. This procedure does not stop the execution of the sentence,” wrote Shimon Holavnia on the social network.
Markin Romanowski, former Deputy Minister of Justice and Member of Parliament of Sovereign Poland, commented on the entry of the Speaker of the Seimas. “Your personal opinions are not a source of rights and duties for citizens. There is the Constitution, the Act on the Supreme Court and the decision of the competent authority, and there is the request of the Prosecutor's Office to stop the enforcement proceedings and suspend the enforcement. Anyone who does not respect this is liable for a crime. “Clergyman and illegal deprivation of liberty,” said the politician.
