This year Canal+ will show six original series – including four new Polish titles, one sequel and an international co-production. The station has already announced two production extensions for 2025.
From February 9, you will be able to watch the TV series “When We Wedding” on Canal+ Online and Canal+ Premium. It's a dark comedy about modern relationships and millennial problems. – We wanted this series to be realistic, reliable and interesting for young people – said Beata Rychkowska, Canal+ Polska's director of original production and co-production during the meeting with the creators.
New Canal + products in 2024
Maria Debska, Eric Kulm Jr., Maciej Musial, Magdalena Poplawska, Masza Wagroka, Kamil Septicki, Kamila Urzedowska play the main roles in the TV series “When We Wedding”. The directors are Lukasz Ostalski and Piotr Domalewski, and the screenwriters are Marek Baranowski and Katarzyna Wisniowska. Akson Studio is responsible for the production.
In the spring, the satirical and grotesque comedy series “Love Algorithm” will premiere in the world of bikini reality shows. Participants (representing different personality types) will perform tasks that are a parody of the challenges of the most popular programs of this genre. The director is Michal Tilka and Alek Pietrzak, and the screenwriters are: Łukasz Sychowicz, Mateusz Płocha, Mateusz Zimnowodzki, Marek Baranowski. DGA Jake Vision is producing.
Also in the spring you can watch the action series “Simple Matter”, based on the novel by Wojciech Chmielarcz. The play tells the story of an unnamed hero in search of justice who finds himself in the middle of a mafia duel in the Karkonosze Mountains. The cast included Mateusz Damiecki, Piotr Adamczyk, Magdalena Wiechorek, Mateusz Kmieczyk, Mateusz Wieclawek, Iza Kuna, Veronika Humaj, Ivan Franek. Director and screenwriter is Kyprian T. Olentsky. 2 Hungry Crocodiles is responsible for the production.
After the holidays, the mystery thriller series “Black Daisies” will be released. It tells the story of a woman who tries to save the future of her daughter, who disappeared from kindergarten after being kidnapped by a group of children. Karolina Kominek, David Ogrodnik, Edita Olshovka, Olaf Lubasenko, Alicia Wieniava-Narkevich, Tomasz Schuchardt, Piotr Zhurawski, Paulina Galazka, Robert Gonera play the main roles in the series. The director is Mariusz Paleya, and the screenwriters are Agnieszka Špila, Dominika Prezhdova, Katarzyna Tibinka, Marcin Chiaston. “Black Daisies” is produced by Balapolis.
“Scar”, “Klangor” and “The Office PL”
The premiere of the fourth season of “The Office PL” is planned for autumn. The Polish version of the series tells about the adventures of the employees of the mineral water production company Kropliczanka. “The Office PL” stars Piotr Polak, Vanessa Alexander, Adam Woronowicz, Kornelia Strzelecka, Rafal Kowalski. The director of the series is Maciej Bochniak, and the screenwriters are Łukasz Sychowicz, Jakub RuŻYło, Mateusz Zimnowodzki, Mateusz Płocha. Executive producer is DGA Jake Vision.

Canal+'s next offering for fall 2024 is “Scar,” an adaptation of the book by Spanish author Juan Gómez-Jurado. Canal+ Polska is one of the co-producers of the series. Milena Radulovic and Juanlu Gonzalez played the main roles. Makej Stur will also appear in the cast. The authors of the script are Pablo Roa and Fernando Sancristobal, and the director is Miguel Angel Vivas – all three worked in “House of Cards”.
For 2025, Canal+ is planning a second season of the crime thriller Klangor (starring Malgorzata Gorol and Magdalena Czerwińska) and the comedy-drama Minute of Silence with Robert Wieckiewicz and Piotr Rogutski. “Klangor 2” began filming in the fall of 2023, and the “Minutes of Silence” crew will return to the set in February 2024.
