The last day of 2023 was special for Teresa Johaug. Justina Kowalczyk-Tequila's former rival has married longtime partner Nils Jakob Hoffa.
The four-time Olympic ski champion and 2013 rowing world champion said the solemn “I do” at a church in Roeros, a small town near Johaug's hometown of Dalsbigby. The guests were the Norwegian's friends from the national team, Marit Bjorgen and Ingvild Flugstad Oestberg, who – together with Veronika, the athlete's sister – were bridesmaids.
After the ceremony, everyone went to the wedding, which – according to the newspaper “Dagbladet” – together with the next party, should last… up to three days!
Johag and Hoff have been a couple for nine years. The rower proposed to his bride two years ago, but Teresa waited until now to get married. The sports couple already has one child. On May 17, 2023, Norway's national day, their daughter was born.
