The performance of the Polish representatives on Thursday also resulted in the sixth place of Alan Banaszek and Wojciech Pscholarski in the Madison race. The Polish pair only scored four points in their flights, but thanks to the circuit, they placed high, giving them 20 points. The winners of this competition were the Germans Roger Kluge and Theo Reinhardt, who scored 64 points.
In the 4-kilometer team race, four Poles competed in the sixth place according to the results of the elimination round. In the final, the Italians defeated the British team.
The participants of the 1 km standing start race had a very fierce battle and the fate of the medals was decided by thousandths of a second. Italian Matteo Bianchi was the fastest. Elias Bednarek was eliminated in the qualifying stage and took 12th place.
In the women's sprint, Nikola Sibiak made it to the top eight of the championship, but in the quarter-finals she had to accept the advantage of French champion Matilda Gross.
