At the United Cup, 18 teams were divided into six groups of three teams. Groups A, C and E compete in Perth, the rest in Sydney. The group winners will advance to the quarter-finals, as will one of the best runners-up in each city.
Serbia (Djokovic) and Czech Republic (Lehetska) are competing in Group E, which includes the Chinese team.
