Two of the highest-ranked tennis players – American Coco Goff and Ukrainian Elina Svitolina – will meet in the finals of the WTA tournament in Auckland, New Zealand on Sunday.
Defending champion Gauff beat compatriot Emma Navarro 6-3, 6-1 in the semifinals, while Svitolina beat China's Xiu Wang 2-6, 6-4, 6-3.

The 19-year-old American, who has a chance for a seventh title, is going down a storm in Auckland. Navarro put the matter away in 62 minutes, aided by 10 service aces among others. In this edition, he lost only 15 games in four matches, and including last year, he can boast of nine wins without losing a set.
“The year is off to a good start for me,” concluded Gauff, who recalled Navarro's childhood struggles. – I was probably 12 years old then. It is good that now we are competing on a bigger stage, he added.
